Brief: The team at Hortus needed help to give their amazing new Village Gym facilities an identity that brought character and reflected the heart of their team.

We were on the hunt for a powerful animal motif and a custom illustration of our beautiful New Zealand Harrier Hawk fit the bill. We needed something that would resonate and feel familiar with not only the RSE and team that work here but with the brand as well.

It’s our largest bird of prey in NZ; powerful, fast and adaptive so all good stuff that reflects the brand. The badge is dripping in symbolism and meaning, paired with a grunty, rough font and true north pattern it makes for a striking mark, that’s quintessentially Hortus.
